WRTA: IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

WRTA Service Update: Changes Coming January 6, 2025

To ensure sustainable and efficient service for our community, WRTA will temporarily suspend the Yellow Line and revert to the Purple and Orange Line schedules starting Monday, January 6, 2025.

What’s Staying the Same?

All bus stops introduced over the past year will still be served.

Why the Change?

This adjustment helps us address financial realities, staffing needs, and feedback, ensuring we can continue to grow and improve Fremont County’s transit system.

“We’re committed to building a stronger, more sustainable future for public transportation,” said Tim Nichols, WRTA Director.

Stay tuned! The updated schedules will be released in the coming weeks.

Questions? Contact WRTA Dispatch at (307) 856-9782 or visit www.gowrta.com for more info.

Thank you for riding with us and supporting public transit in Fremont County!

🐾 AN ANNOUNCEMENT FROM PAWS FOR LIFE: We will no longer be posting photos of impounded animals. We have been having trouble with people trying to claim animals as their own when they are not. Thankfully, in these scenarios, we've had true owners who have contacted us with photos of the animal at home so that we could decipher true owners. We will still be putting short descriptions of the impounded animals, but proof with photos and/or vet records will be required to pick them up. As always, rabies certificates are needed to pick up your impounded animals, or extra fees apply.

We will post pictures when the animals have completed their 5-day Stray Hold and are available for adoption. Thank you for your understanding as we work through how to successfully accomplish this task.
